The Montessori-inspired 3D Shape Sorter will provide a unique, sensory-driven play experience for your toddler while also developing their fine motor skills. It can be nested or stacked, providing hours of creative play for babies and toddlers.
It has four basic shapes, circle, square, rectangle, and triangle. Each shape has subsequent smaller shapes in color gradation of red, orange, blue, and green colors.

Even though the 3D Shape Sorter aims for the above benefits, it turns out to be a favorable toy for children when they outgrow it. In our test, children of bigger ages used it for pretend play and building structures. As children get older, they will have fun filling one with small items, such as beans or gemstones, and emptying them into another bowl. The bowls can also be used for kitchen play.
One of our favorite toys due to its versatility and ability to grow with a child. Baby will start with simple stacking play and move on to sorting play. Children love to guess under which bowl an object is hidden. Finally, when the child is older they can store things in them on their desk! And oh yes! They can collect and store their tiny treasures! A must-have toy for every child.
Unlike plastic nesting shapes, wooden nesting shapes have natural textures which stimulate the child’s senses to invite them to touch, feel and explore each surface area of the toys while the basic shapes of the toys help the development of your kid’s hand-eye coordination. And the sound when a child bangs or fills them is pleasurable!
Each shape is made from solid naturally sourced wood which is perfectly sized for little hands. Colored with non-toxic, lead-free EN71-certified paints.
